Like many other World Wrestling Entertainment
stars, Jefferson County resident Glenn Jacobs
is expanding his career outside the ring. He has a book called "Journey
Into Darkness" in stores now and a horror movie set for release in 2006. ~*

As he told me about his "cool" experience of making "See No
Evil" in Australia, Jacobs was signing copies of "Darkness"
at Borders last week. More than 50 fans showed up. One devotee was shaking
as the fan approached Jacobs, and he confessed, "I've never been this
nervous in my life."
Almost everyone wanted a picture. One guy asked that his steel folding chair
be signed.
WWE produced "See No Evil" under its new film-production arm.
Jacobs has a double role in the film. He's billed as Kane, his WWE
character, who plays the film's villain. So he's doing the old
role-within-a-role thing.
"I play the psychopathic killer," Jacobs says. "It was
awesome, It really was. The best part was spending two months in Australia,
on the Gold Coast, on the beach. It was also great to see the movie magic
and to be a part of it. It was awesome.
"And I was treated like a movie star, with my own trailer and stuff. It
was pretty cool."
Jacobs is also a huge fan of horror flicks. He loves "Nightmare on Elm
Street. "Freddy Krueger has the best one-liners west of Clint
Eastwood," he says, laughing.
As for "Darkness," Jacobs says he had a hand in helping to write
the book, which was done mainly by Michael Chiappetta. The book is a
fictitious account of Kane's history, as pieced together through years of
WWE storylines.
